Re: sky replacement

I don't seem to have a Pro Tools in the BW Artisan Pro X panel BWVision 2019 - v1.1.0 which would seem to be the issue I wanted to insert a screenshot Graeme, That's an old version you have there - we released a few free updates in November 2019 and in May 2020. The latest free update is v1.3.0. We...

Re: sky replacement

Graeme, If you stand on the alpha channel and no other channel is selected (highlighted) or has the 'eyeball' turned on, then it can't jump to the RGB channels. So make sure you're standing on the correct alpha channel and that only that alpha channel has the 'eyeball' turned on. BTW: you're talking...

Re: sky replacement

Hi, The idea that there is just one best workflow/technique for masking is entirely wrong. As I've explained in my Advanced Masking video tutorial, the best technique depends on the type of image, the available contrast, available unique colors per plane and the complexity/intricacy of the object to...

Re: Quick masking issue

Bill, It's impossible for me to say something about this without seeing the original image, and the masks. But it has nothing to do with the number of pixels you have available. Having said this: trying to get a mask exactly right just by masking it, without halos around something translucent and in...

Re: Landscape B&W

Hi all, great to see there is a forum on BWVision. I have been toying with the idea of using Joel's techniques on a Landscape photograph. I see there are sections for Architecture and for Portrait but none for Landscape. Is anyone aware of any photographers taking this approach? Errol Errol, I've c...

Re: Announcement for Mac M1 (Silicon) users + PS CC 22.3 + panels

An update from the Admin (Joel Tjintjelaar) on the progress for the UXP version of the Artisan Pro X and Quick Mask pro panels: At this moment we're developing the UXP version of the panels, to be called plugins only, and we've succeeded in adapting some parts of the panel to the new UXP platform. T...

Re: I don't see the panel in Photoshop

I've done everything you say and it still doesn't show up in Photoshop. Can you show me some screenshots of the panel in the folder as it's installed by the automatic installer? Perhaps the easiest way is to just reinstall the panel using the automatic installer. Make sure you're using the correct ...

Re: I don't see the panel in Photoshop

I have installed Quick Mask Pro with the automatic installer and it appears in the Extensions folder. Load Extension Panels and Allow Extensions in Preferences are checked, but Quick Mask Pro still doesn't show in Photoshop. Did you go to PS>Window>extensions (Legacy) and is QMP checked there? So d...

Re: I don't see the panel in Photoshop

I just bought Quick Mask Pro. I installed the program on an iMac (end of year 2015) with macOS Big Sur 11.2.3, but it does not appear in the Photoshop plugins. My version of Photoshop is 22.3.1. Why does this happen? I need help. Thanks. Did you follow the instructions and did you install it with t...

Re: Local Contrast decrease/increase

Please can somebody explain when or why you would need this in your workflow. Bobby First, and this is hopefully something most people should know by now if they've seen my webinars on the panel: the viewer's eyes are always drawn to the area in the photo with the highest contrast and brightest lig...
